One to One Home Education Support

Providing your child with an education that fits their needs is a beautiful opportunity. You might be just starting off on your family’s home ed journey, and wanting advice on crafting an approach that suits your particular child. Or you might be farther into your home education years, but wanting fresh ideas or help synthesising what you’ve read and learned about all the educational approaches into something that suits your particular children. You might be looking for information about books, curricula, and resources that will fill your home and hearts with compassion and inclusion of new ideas and issues. Your children might be spirited or neurodiverse, and you’re seeking tips for getting through the (school)day with humour and delight.

Or perhaps you are an ‘extra-schooling’ family, wanting to supplement your child’s school-based learning with resources and activities that are inclusive, gentle, and beautiful.

I offer one to one calls to help you craft your own approach to inclusive education at home - either as a home educator or as an ‘extra-schooler’.

My solid knowledge of a wide range of educational theories like Montessori, Waldorf/Steiner, Charlotte Mason, Classical Education, Unschooling and Forest School principles means that together we can draw on ideas from a range of disciplines to best support your family’s dreams and learning goals. Together we can examine what’s been working for your family, and where the challenges appear. We can reflect on what curricula you’ve used and loved, and what didn’t quite fit. I believe that each family’s learning journey is individual and is an evolving process- there’s always more to uncover and explore. How do you want your days to feel? What do you love about learning together? What do you want your children to know?

What you’ll receive:

  • Evidence-based tools and resources: I provide useful, practical, evidence-based tools and resources to help you develop as a home educating parent.

  • One-to-one home education session: During our 60-minute call, you’ll have time to get really clear about your goals for your child’s learning, and how to make your family’s learning culture more inclusive. (If you’re in the Cardiff area, it may be possible to meet up in person if you prefer.)

  • Follow up support: This call isn’t the end, though - we’ll decide together in the session whether you’d be best supported by a 30 minute follow up session, or a week of ongoing support via Voxer (a walkie-talkie app).

  • Summary report & your next steps: You’ll have an actionable plan, a suggested reading list for your own development, and a list of inclusive, feminist resources to integrate into your day to day educational plans.

Investment

One to one home education calls are a £105 investment.
